Wicker Park Fest '19

This time last week we were all hands on deck prepping for our first pop up. Thank you to everyone that came out to shop with d+h last weekend at Wicker Park Fest. If you didn’t have the chance to make it out, no worries. We’ve got the lowdown. It may have been blazing out there in the hot sun, but thanks to big sponsors like Yeti and Goose Island there was no shortage of celebratory (hydrating?) drinks and earth conscious cups in hand. Amidst the music we took in all the festival vibes while previewing our first limited edition capsule collection designed by the d+h collective in collaboration with Ashland Leather; a Chicago leather goods retailer that hand crafts genuine leather products all from Horween leather.  Pssst, you can shop it soon on our site. Stay tuned!

We enjoyed the scene alongside some pretty cool Chicago brands selling anything from cowhide rugs to essential oils. Staying busy, greeting new customers spared no time for the arcades at Emporium or lunch at Smoke Daddy’s food truck, but we may or may not have had a few minutes to catch the Wavves performance on the South Stage Saturday night.

Bracelets were the star of the show at our shop, followed by the leather dog collar. Pup accessories make sense for a crowd so heavily populated with dogs. The crowd was also filled with guys in oversized surfer straw hats + baseball caps, flip flops, t-shirts and girls in flowy dresses and high waisted jean shorts. Our favorite trend - everyone sipping on lemonade from old school cups with scrunchie straws. We came, we saw, we conquered and we will be back for more. Check back soon to shop the limited edition collection online. We’ll be dropping new wallet silhouettes, a fresh selection of beautifully crafted leather belts and Chicago inspired Pintrill pins that are pretty darn fun.

It has been simply incredibly generous with you to provide openly what exactly many individuals would’ve marketed for an ebook to end up making some cash for their end, primarily given that you could have tried it in the event you wanted.
